InsOps, an AI-powered, Insurance-trained Small Language Model (SLM), has been awarded $150,000 in Microsoft for Startups Azure credits.
The credits will be used to scale InsOps’ AI-powered engines on Azure, enabling faster delivery timelines and stronger compliance safeguards for insurers. Specifically, the funding will support:
Compliance-grade security for handling sensitive policyholder and claims data in alignment with NAIC, HIPAA, and GDPR requirements
Faster rollout of insurance-trained models and workflow automation across policy, claims, billing, and partner systems
Cloud-native deployments that help insurers reduce dependency on legacy systems while maintaining business continuity
Our goal is to help insurers operate on clean, compliant data without introducing risk or complexity. With Microsoft’s support, we can scale our Small Language Model and bring secure, in-environment automation to more carriers, faster.
NavaJeevan Rajaiah, Founder and CEO of InsOps.
InsOps has already demonstrated impact with carriers such as Golden Bear Insurance, where more than 40 years of AS/400 claims data was moved to Guidewire in under six months with 99 percent accuracy. This outcome reflects how insurers can modernize core systems while maintaining control, data integrity, and operational continuity.
The Microsoft for Startups credits will allow InsOps to extend these capabilities to additional insurers across the U.S. and international markets, supporting broader adoption of secure, workflow-driven data modernization.
